Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I still own my work after I submit it to Student Pulse?

A: YES. You will always own the copyright to your work and are free to do with it whatever you wish.

That includes publishing the work elsewhere if the opportunity arises, publishing it on your own website or blog, or submitting to other journals.

Q: What about plagiarism? Won't other students be able to copy my work?

A: Anyone can copy anything off the internet. However, with modern anti-plagiarism tools such as Turnitin.com--or a simple google search-- it is very easy for someone to detect a paper copied from Student Pulse.

Even just searching for a phrase from the paper will turn up the original on our website.

So, while there is no way to stop someone from copying text from the internet, those who choose to do so take a huge risk and will almost definitely be caught.
